My neighbor has so many Thai restaurant. They all have authentic Thai dish like pad thai, curries, or tom yum soup, stir fry dish vary on which restaurant you choose. Although they are all great, as I love Thai dish so much, I wanted to make some on my own, so here it is! Thai basil with eggplant and tofu!
Fresh herbal aroma of basil with mellow veggies created the perfect dish, so if you are craving Thai dish, my recipe is here!
- 1 large eggplant – sliced
- 1/2 pack firm tofu – dice cut
- 5~8 mushroom – sliced
- 1/8 large onion – sliced
- 1 large carrot – sliced
- 1 clove garlic
- 20 fresh Thai basil
- 1 Thai chili – crushed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¾ cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon yellow soybean sauce
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- Create sauce
Mix all ingredients of sauce and set aside.
- Stir fry veggies
in a large pan, put olive oil, garlic, and Thai chili and infuse the aroma while heating up the pan. Add veggies except basil.
Put basil, tofu and pour sauce. When everything mixed together, transfer them to plate.
Aww, I want to visit Thai someday. Until then, I’d study which authentic Thai dish is the must have!
