Chickpea Salad with Zesty Lemon Dill Dressing

One day, I was shopping at some Asian grocery. They sell veggies, sauce, snacks that appear in Asian cuisine or very reasonable price, so hitting Asian grocery is one of my favorite things to do.

But there was one thing I didn’t understand. That is, they sell huge bunch of dills.

Dills? Really?

They appear on some mediterranean dish, but they sell it here, as Asian grocery?

I looked up on internet and the truth was they use fresh dill for Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian dish. I have been to some vietnamese restaurant but haven’t tried dish with dill, so someday I’d try it!

So far, I haven’t found some Laotian or Cambodian restaurant, so for now, I thank the Asian grocery and use the fresh dill for mediterranean food.

Dill’s herbal flavor is good with refreshing lemon juice, so just mix with some chickpeas and make salad was the right decision for sure! 🙂

Since it’s summer, my appetite look for something nice to eat in summer. Eggplants, zucchinis, tomatoes seems perfectly ripe, so let’s make greek quiche!

Buttery flavored crispy quiche bottom and savory summer veggies, salty feta’s mellow taste makes your dinner table perfect! 🙂

Cucumber Dill Yogurt Sauce

I like cooking. Making something tasty from scratch makes me smile and happy, so this is one of the reasons this blog is here. So I always think what to make with what ingredients…

Until a little while ago.

Well, I still love cooking, but recently I’m into frozen food.

I sold my microwave when I moved to Seattle, and I still haven’t gotten new one, and I didn’t buy any frozen food that requires using microwave by a few days ago, so I used to pass frozen food aisle just for some ice cream.

But after so many rainy days, summer is finally here in Seattle, and my new kitchen has lots of lots of sun. Imagine when you come back home and try to prepare dinner in hot, hot, hot kitchen. You want to leave there as soon as possible, right?

So today, I want to share my tasty refreshing sauce for greek dish: cucumber dill yogurt sauce!

I paired up this with frozen falafel, and it was so good! Not only trader joe’s frozen falafel was nicely crunchy, but also my yogurt sauce cleared falafel’s oil and gave refreshing flavor on my mouth, so you too have nice refreshing meal even in hot summer day! 🙂
