I’ve introduced aglio olio pasta using salted kombu, but this time, I’d like to introduce it with sour plum: Umeboshi!
If it is a special day for two of you, you might wanna go to some fancy restaurant.

- Wonder what clothes you will wear
- Hover around walk-in closet to find matched purse
- Putting make up (for ladies)
- Shaving for fresh clean face / set nice mustache (for gentlemen)
Umm,,, a lot of work to do, huh?

Just ordinal salad can be the special one. All you need is just give it a little work.
My local grocery store had huge sale for paprika, so I bought so many of them.
I was thinking about what’s for dinner by using them, and I’ve decided to celebrate summer harvest with a bunch of paprika by cooking tomato soup.
I used many veggies, so even though the main character is tomato, still it has so many color and it entertain us.
Of course, the sour tomato and natural sweet of variety of veggies can entertain our tongue too!
Lasagna is one of my favorite pasta dish. It looks gorgeous with so many layers of tomato sauce and flat, broad noodle. Most importantly, they are covered with a carpet of crispy and melted cheese. Umm, what a gorgeous food!
Before coming to the US, lasagna noodle was not accessible in my hometown, so lasagna was my dream food.
Now, I could get it from my local grocery, but I seldom buy it because I found more healthy version of lasagna. It is: Zucchini and Eggplant lasagna!
Salmon is my favorite fish. It’s rich, flavorful for fish oil, so even though I’m trying to be a vegetarian, sometimes I want to cheat my eating habit with salmon. Tanooki’s ref had some canned salmon left, so let’s have a cheating/break day!
