Oven Baked Zucchini Fry

Hello there, welcome to my new posting!

Do you like zucchini? I hope you do just like me!

When I came to the states years ago, zucchini was one of the veggies I was avoiding to encounter on my dinner table. I felt the taste and texture of it was very similar to a cucumber, and I believed a warm version of cucumber was ridiculous.

But as time went by and have had several opportunity to try them, I gradually realized how great zucchini was and it is one of my must-buy produce today.

As a result, my collection of zucchini is a lot, and I’d like to share another today.

When you bring this crispy zucchini dunked into ranch dressing to your mouth, you’ll notice the zucchini and your mind started melt immediately! 😀

My apologies, some lighting problem occurred on that night so you might feel creepy of looking at this pic…

Roasted Butternut Squash Salad

Hello everyone, welcome to my new posting!

After I tried cooking butternut squash soup and realized it had very similar taste to pumpkin, I wanted to make salad by using it.

Pumpkin salad is also great, but I’m a little worried about using pumpkin because it has so hard skin, so I needed microwave to cut proper size, but I haven’t bought one since my move to new place. (It’s been already half year though!)

And my cooking experiment came out great. The creamy texture and sweetness of butternut squash gave me a wonderful side dish to my meal, so if you are bored one of the most popular dish of butternut squash, (the soup,) this is the one you should try 😀

Japanese Style Curry Rice

Hello there, welcome to my new posting!

I was complaining about using heater in Sep the other day, which I never did when I was in LA. But now, I again realized I have moved to far North because it was snowy the other day.

I haven’t seen it for years. No wonder it was super cold even though I curled up in bed. Some say if it is snow, that day is actually warmer than other cold day, but I would never want to feel that. All I want to say is: where is my sunshine and ocean with white sand!?

Anyways, for those cold day, people (ad Tanooki) need nice warm dish to stay comfortable. But recently I feel just warm dish is not enough. Something spicy is so much appreciated.

And now, I realized I haven’t written about Japanese traditional curry, which is the most familiar type of curry for me.

For the ingredients, some people would face difficult situation because I don’t know the japanese curry mix is available in your local. But if you can, you will have another great meal time for sure because this is one of the most popular food in Japan just like ramen!

Buffalo Roasted Cauliflower

Hello there, welcome to my new posting!

When I was a kid, I used to memorize what the difference between cauliflower and broccoli were its color.

White one is cauliflower and green one is broccoli.

And when I compare these two, I preferred broccoli since it is more colorful and I liked little lumps on the edge of each florets.

But now, I want to try some cauliflower. I don’t care if broccoli has more nutrition so better eat more.

(For more info, please refer: https://www.doctorshealthpress.com/health-articles/broccoli-vs-cauliflower-which-is-healthier/)

It has fewer calorie, so more loaded cauliflower with this recipe please! 😛

Strawberry Daifuku Mochi

Hello everyone, welcome to my new posting!

The small, cute vivid red fruit always attract everyone in both looks and taste. A little sour one can give a nice refreshing sensation on your mouth when you are having sweet snack like ice cream, whipped cream, or milk shake.

Then, what will happen when a strawberry meet red bean paste?

Not quite for this, although this is also very well.

Strawberry daifuku mochi. I really respect the person who invented this little guy.

Sweet and rich red bean paste wrapped with thin mochi skin is already nice combination, but when you get one bite, you found cute red treasure; strawberry!

Literally I couldn’t stop having another one, so I hope you enjoy cooking this and tasting this too 😀
