Chickpea Salad with Zesty Lemon Dill Dressing

One day, I was shopping at some Asian grocery. They sell veggies, sauce, snacks that appear in Asian cuisine or very reasonable price, so hitting Asian grocery is one of my favorite things to do.

But there was one thing I didn’t understand. That is, they sell huge bunch of dills.

Dills? Really?

They appear on some mediterranean dish, but they sell it here, as Asian grocery?

I looked up on internet and the truth was they use fresh dill for Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian dish. I have been to some vietnamese restaurant but haven’t tried dish with dill, so someday I’d try it!

So far, I haven’t found some Laotian or Cambodian restaurant, so for now, I thank the Asian grocery and use the fresh dill for mediterranean food.

Dill’s herbal flavor is good with refreshing lemon juice, so just mix with some chickpeas and make salad was the right decision for sure! 🙂

Dill Flavored Tuna Salad Wrap

Hello everyone, how are you?

Well, today I’m taking day off for no-meat diet. I got nice fresh dill, so I must enjoy eating it. Lox sounds great enough, but my ref didn’t have a stock of smoke salmon but found tuna(don’t ask me why no-meat dieter’s pantry has one! :P) so dill flavored tuna salad wrap is the perfect meal!

Creamy mellow tuna with a hint of dill makes your meal time precious and that definitely make your day!

Cucumber Dill Salad

I tried eating dill for the first time with lox. I’m huge lover of salmon, so when I ordered it at some sandwich shop, it happen to help me try eating new herb.

Dill’s fresh aroma and refreshing taste gives vivid twist on lox, and I tend to choose lox at wherever it is available after that.

Now, I’m on no-meat diet but I think I’m still a fan of fresh dill. Thinking for how to eat it, some angel who live in my mind recommended mixing dill with cucumber, crisp and refreshing veggie!

It’s perfect with mediterranean food, so cook it quick and have a perfect meal!

Zesty Soybean and Dill Salad

Hi there, thank you for checking my new posting!

Do you buy dried bean or canned bean?

Well, Tanooki usually buy canned beans, but sometimes the other version of me whispers,

“Hey, are you kidding? Buying dried beans can save several % of cost. You can just boil them and you have more beans on your hand!! More beans, pay less. Now, return the canned bean on the shelf and go to the dried bean aisle!”

After huge debate on my mind, I have dried soy bean on my hand.

3 lbs.

So so so big bag of soybean while I never cooked soybean as bean shape.

Now, I need to find some recipe to cook this guy and tried making salad.

Using dill was also my first time and ended up making awesome salad.

A little crunchy soybean with zesty dressing with a hint of dill was great side dish for any cuisine, so you should try one too!
