Another recipe of sandwich with portobello mushroom!

Seems like I’m too obsessed to portobello mushroom. I guess I should go back to have the portobello dish?

I liked balsamic taste, but I want to explore new world of taste, so this one I paired up with cream cheese filling.

By comparing last sandwich recipe, this one has more creamy (of course!) and mellow flavor.

Balsamic Portobello Sandwich

Hello there, welcome to my new posting!

 

When I went to Italian restaurant, I had grilled portobello as appetizer. It was my dinner buddy’s choice, but I thanked the decision when the dish came to our table and when I bring the first bite on my mouth. It was so good. Huge portobello with mellow and sour flavor of balsamic vinaigrette made such a great combination, and literally we fought which one of us would have the last bite of that dish.

 

So when I found portobello mushroom on my local grocery, it joined my shopping cart. My dinner buddy said he needed lunch the next day, so I made sandwich to made up with him for not sharing the last bite of portobello @ Italian restaurant.

 

Huge portobello steak with balsamic vinaigrette. Isn’t it such a wonderful sandwich ever!?

Eggplant Banh Mi

When I was craving Vietnamese food, I only thought about rice dish since Vietnam is one of the Asian countries, and never thought about bread as their cuisine. But, afyer my friend recommended me to try Vietnamese sandwich and tried it, I was totally obsessed for the sandwich.

They had crispy but fluffy and chewy texture on bread, and the combination of the bread and veggies made the great harmony.

Today, chef tanooki would like to introduce eggplant Banh mi.

You’ll be totally obsessed when you have the first bite of this Vietnamese sandwich.

*Used eggplant instead of meat to stay healthy!
